How to prepare for your first custom wig consultation

How to prepare for your first custom wig consultation

A custom unit is only as good as the conversation that starts it. Here is what helps us most when you come in for a first consultation, and what you can expect from the hour we spend together.

Bring reference photos

Screenshots of styles you like are more useful than descriptions. Three or four images that show the parting, the length and the texture you have in mind will tell us more than any form.

Wear your hair the way you usually do

We measure over your natural hair or a wig cap, exactly as you plan to wear the unit. If you usually braid down, arrive braided. If you prefer a bald cap, bring one or let us know in advance.

Think about your mornings

Be honest about how much time you want to spend styling. A glueless cap with a pre-plucked hairline suits a two-minute routine; a full lace unit with a free parting suits someone who enjoys styling.

Ask about care before you order

Every unit comes with care notes, but the consultation is the best moment to ask how a texture behaves in humidity, how often it needs washing and which products to avoid. Read more in our guide to caring for a human hair unit between appointments, or book a consultation when you are ready.
